Meet Kia
I grew up in warm and caring family who instilled the value of education in me at a very young age. I received my Bachelors in Sociology which has helped me approach my work through the understanding of both the uniqueness of individuals, and their universality and commonality. My training also helps me recognize behaviors and group dynamics in my environment. I came to the United State to obtain higher education (Masters degree in Political Sociology ). As a mother of two boys, I empathize with my clients needs for high quality childcare. I approach my business with professionalism and commitment to treating the children as if they were my own.
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a safe, secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which they can grow and mature in all areas of development (emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially). It is my desire as a educator to help children meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports positive risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special into the world. I will help children to develop this potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us as the core of what makes life so fascinating.
I have been a child care provider since 2002. Because "children are our future", it is imperative that they are provided with opportunities for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my children, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel that there is a need for compassionate, strong and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. In our competitive society, it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is both aware and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person, and will always strive to be one of the best educators I can possibly be!
